Cincinnati Area Forecast

RAIN SLOWLY COMES TO AN END....CLOUDS HANG AROUND SATURDAY...SUNSHINE ON SUNDAY

FORECAST SUMMARY FOR FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 5:

Showers will gradually come to an end with skies remaining mostly cloudy overnight. Areas of drizzle and fog will continue tonight into early Saturday. Tropical storm Hanna will rapidly move up the east coast during the day Saturday, and this will slow down the progress of a cold front that will be moving through the Tri-State. This will keep clouds around for a good part of the day Saturday...keeping temperatures in the 70s through the afternoon. Once Hanna moves away from the area, the front will go ahead and swing through bringing a return to comfortable temperatures and sunshine for Sunday. Highs will reach near 80 on Sunday afternoon. Another quick moving cold front will bring another chance for showers late Monday night into Tuesday morning. Temperatures will again struggle to get out of the 70s on Tuesday and into Wednesday. In fact, as skies clear Tuesday night, some areas could drop into the upper 40s by Wednesday morning! A warm-up will ensue on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday with yet another cold front moving into the Tri-State by Friday. All eyes will be on the Gulf Of Mexico as Hurricane Ike makes its way across Florida on Monday and Tuesday. It is possible that if the storm does enter the southeast United States, it will slow next Friday's cold front down and keep the rest of next week dry. For now, we'll place a chance for showers and storms during the day Friday...but keep in mind the timing may need to be tweaked some, depending on what Ike does. Have a great weekend!
