Poll: Obama Holds Slight Lead Over McCain In Ohio

Poll Finds 13 Percent Of 2004 Bush Voters Support Obama, Quarter Of Clinton Supporters Back McCain

The latest Quinnipiac University poll indicates that Sen. Barack Obama leads Sen. John McCain among likely presidential voters in Ohio.

The new poll indicates that Obama now leads McCain in Pennsylvania, Florida and Ohio.

Obama tops McCain 48 percent to 42 percent in Ohio.

The poll found Obama leads 51 percent to 39 percent among likely Ohio women voters, while men go 46 percent for McCain and 45 percent for Obama.

The poll said white voters also are narrowly divided with 47 percent for McCain and 44 percent for Obama, but Obama commands black voters 90 percent to 6 percent.

The poll found 13 percent of those who voted for Bush in 2004 now back Obama, while 25 percent of those who backed Sen. Hillary Clinton in the primaries now support McCain.
