HAMILTON, Ohio -- A judge sentenced a teenager to 44 years in prison Friday for the kidnapping and torturing of a disabled high school student.Cheyenne Blanton, 17, pleaded guilty July 30 to to aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, complicity to aggravated robbery, felonious assault, kidnapping and vandalism in connection with the Feb. 23 attack.Prosecutors said Blanton and 16-year-old Joseph Nagle intended to steal a woman's car, but when they missed their chance, they bound and gagged the woman's 18-year-old daughter, Ashley Clark, kicked and beat her over a nine-hour period, and then shaved her head and eyebrows.
The pair also placed Clark in a cold shower and made her walk barefoot in the snow."Seeing your daughter's hair in little pieces all over the home, you can just imaging what she had to go through that day," said Sheila Clark, the victim's mother. "It's more than a mother can take."Nagle, who pleaded guilty last month to the same charges, will be sentenced Oct. 14.Judge Andrew Nastoff said he did not believe Blanton, who had faced 59 years in prison, is capable of remorse. The victim's father is not yet capable of forgiveness."I'm taught to forgive, but (I'm) yet to forgive," said Bobby Clark. "(This is) not a mistake, but an act of cruel vicious violence."
