Deputies Seek Unknown Driver In Serious I-75 Crash

Authorities Looking For Black Nissan With UC On Plate

UPDATED: 2:05 pm EDT September 4, 2008

Butler County investigators want to talk to the driver of a car that may have been involved in a serious Interstate 75 crash last month.

Richard Igo, 52, of Middletown, was seriously hurt when his car hit a tractor-trailer on I-75 North in Liberty Township on Aug. 25.

Igo is still undergoing treatment at University Hospital.

Deputies said Thursday that they've received information that a black vehicle, believed to be a newer Nissan Altima, had been observed driving aggressively in the immediate area of, and at the same time as, the crash.

Investigators said they also believe that the vehicle had a reference to the University of Cincinnati on its license plate.

Anyone with information about the vehicle itself or the driver is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office Traffic Investigations Unit during business hours at 513-785-1213, or contact a patrol supervisor anytime through the Butler County dispatch center at 513-785-1300.
