Teens To Face Adult Charges In Break-In, Torture

POSTED: 3:04 pm EDT May 14, 2008
UPDATED: 3:18 pm EDT May 14, 2008

Two Hamilton teens accused of breaking into a home and torturing a disabled woman will be tried as adults.

A judge bound over Joseph Nagle and Cheyenne Blanton to adult court, where they will be tried beginning May 14 on charges of aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, kidnapping, felonious assault and vandalism.

Investigators said Nagle and Blanton broke into a Hanover Township home Feb. 22 intending to hide overnight and steal a car in the morning.

However, one of the homeowners left with the car before the pair woke up, police said, and Nagle and Blanton bound, gagged and tortured the homeowners’ 18-year-old daughter.

Investigators said the woman begged the teens to stop hitting her head because she’d recently had brain surgery, but the pair only hit her harder.
