It’s out with the old and in with the new for a Finneytown school.

St. Bartholomew’s changed to Pope John Paul II Catholic School on Monday.

The school has gone through several changes in the past year, including a realignment of schools that fed into it.

That caused school officials to decide that it was time for a name change.

Thirty doves were released to celebrate the school’s next chapter.

Classes for the school start Tuesday.
